Tips for Diabetics
#1 - When dealing with a low blood sugar, the first instinct is to eat food. Candy, carbs, etc. But the best thing to help fix your low is juice because of all the natural sugar. It allows you to drink it quickly, brings your blood sugar up faster and if you have ever had a really low blood sugar, you feel very weak and chewing can become an issue. So drinking juice helps in all those areas, without causing you more work.
#2 - There can be multiple indications your blood sugar is high, before even checking your blood sugar. They are: increased thirst, frequent urination, irritability, inability to focus, headaches, fatigue and blurred vision. These are only a few, if you are experiencing any of them, check your blood sugar and take insulin to help.
#3 - Change out your needles. The duller the needle becomes, the more it will hurt when using it and more scar tissue it will create. It also reduces the chance of infection.
